Super charged ???

Looking to sell my EF XR8 in a few months as im not content with the power on tap, as im still a few months off i wouldnt mind buying a blower and putting it on. Looking at the twin screw kenne bell unit from the states running low boost (6lbs). Aim would be 200rwkw nothing fancy just a bit more poke, but still want to keep the stock bottom end. Car has about 140,000 on it has been well looked after serviced every 10,000 since i had it and the book reads every 10,000 as well. So you fellas think it wont break if i try for 200rwkw on a stock car. I think if i drop the money on the blower i will get it back when i sell the car, or even if i sell the blower seperate considering the power these can make. Also does anyone know what heads/manifold are on the EF's. As it has the option for stock manifold or GT4O manifold.

Anyone have any idear what heads we run and what manifolds we have.

E7 heads with HO manifold, both of which suck! 6lb boost will get you to around 180rwkw, you probably won't break the 200rwkw without changine heads and intake.

don't count on getting all the money back when you sell the car....is it worth doing if your not keeping it?

Well compared to other blowers available here i think i could get most of my money back by either selling the car with it or by itself. Will the gt4o manifold work with the e7 heads.

The amount of wear of a a 140k engine would not be wise to attempt running 6psi through it

Ther is no way you are even going to get close to 70% of your money back at any stage.

Take into account install, mods and other costs like head gaskets, injectors, extra fuel pumps, prob some type of engine management.

Unfortuantely Bolt ons are not the only costs
