swapped inline 6 for 351 windsor - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

I recently pulled the blown online 6 out of my F150 and am attempting to put in a 351 Windsor but am having troubles. Do I need special motor mounts or what needs to be done for this application.

What year truck? The motor mounts for the 6 will not fit the 8, you will need to get different ones. I'm not 100% sure, but I think you might need a different bell housing as well. The last time I did a swap like that, it was with a Dodge and there were bolt holes for the different configurations, I just had to figure out where to put it all.
