DOES ANYBODE KNOW IF THE SERIES III TE 50 5.6lt HAS ROLLER ROCKERS OR IF THEY ARE 1.6 OR 1.7 RATIO? ALSO WHAT SIZE THROTTLE BODY AND IF THER IS ANY OTHER BOLT ONS THAT MAKE THEM GO BETTER? COMPUTER MODS ETC.
Afaik they have 1.7 ratio yella terra roller rockers, an 80mm t/b & 82mm maf. You cauld start with a full exhaust & there has just been an edit released for the au's. Check out the Xtreme ford tuning section on these forums as they are playing with a few T3's with the edit.
Some have 1.7 & some have 1.6s its the luck of the draw.

I have same heads - spoke to Patrick at YT and he informs that they are 1.7RR's. I think 1.6 were stamped with that but 1.7 have no markings as insisted by Ford.
same as 5.0 mustang cobra engine; 1.7 ratio.
The mods are endless.. Your only at the beginning of power increase. Superchargers / turbos.. dont want to spend that much.. cam, aftermarket intake, heads, CAI,
For eg: Air Flow Research using the afr185 heads claim a 72hp increase over the ford alloy gt40 turbo swirl heads alone on a crate stroker engine
don't know what mine are to be honest- I know what they'll be tho......

mine are 1.65 non adjustables installed by tickford. steve what is your build month and year?
3/02, but that didn't seem to matter. Tickford had trouble with rockers bending, so thay were under warrentee fitting a set of 1.65 YT to replace the bent one, but as Tickford changed to FPV those cars were never recalled back to get the 1.72s refitted. So thats why they are a bit of a lottery

So surely that would alter power outputs between the cars- I've had three engines so far (under warranty) all have been unopened but everyone of them seemed to have a noticeable difference in power from the previous- the last being the best although I have no evidence to substantiate my claims :(
I'm curious to know hat's in it now- will post in the next few weeks when we get her open....
