Tech Specs for Pacemakers needed. - Ford Forums

Hi y'all, i'm about to upgrade the stock exhaust system on my 2002 AUII XR8 Ute. I live in New Zealand and want to make sure the exhaust is right for the ute and also i want to make sure that the exhaust guys know the correct setup needed for Pacemakers in a non-resonator dual system sharing a single Magnaflow muffler with no cats.

Can anyone tell me where on the net i could get hold of detailed specs/instructions for my exhaust guy. Pics of above system or similar.

Also will i need to reset the EEC after all of this???

What model Pacemakers for the 200k V8 are best for this setup?
Which model K&N filter is going to blend well with all of this?

All ideas welcomed but must get some specs and/or install procedures for my guy.

If he has no experience with it, I would personally look for someone with experience rather than try to tell someone how to install extractors on your car and hope he gets it right.

I have the same model xr8 and have been reseaching the exhaust side of things for a while now. Just about to start the mod process actually.

Firstly if they guy at the shop has already told you openly that he doesn't know what he is doing. Dont go back there. Go to some one that knows and has done them before.
What I have found so far:
Best Extractors are apparantly
PACEMAKER COMPETITION (extractors)
Best Air Filter
BMC (yep more Kw's than a k&n)
Best Exhaust system
This is a split decision between
1) dual 2 1/2" pipe work
2)single 3" pipe work.

I will be using a dual system 2 1/2" with gutted cats(naughty naughty) & 2 Lukey Race magnum mufflers(straight through)right up the back/Pacemaker Competition Extractors/chiptorque custom chip/Bmc Air Filter and possibly modify the Cold air intake.
And hopefully all before the end of December. CANT WAIT

Cheers...today, just to check it out i had the stock rear muffler removed...MAN!!! talk about DRONE!!! So now i will get some sort of resonator put back in until i change the whole setup....DDDDDDDRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Oh, might I add that I have Genies, compared them to Pacemakers and as well as not being worth the extra money (about $100 more), the Genies gave about the same power if not more than the Pacies I tried...

Also, for a stock Windsor V8 such as the XR8, the 2.5" is actually better unless you are planning on chucking on a S/C within the next month or so...

Getting two Cobie resonators put on this arvo...that will shut it up till Xmas...cheers for all the info lads.
