Is there any diffrence in edlbrock manifolds 289 and 302w
as the handle says are ther any diffrences as I thought they were the same? Its because I have the oppertunity to purchas one but the guy said it came of a 289 and I have a 302w so before I buy it could somebody help me out?

Thanks guys as mine is a 69 302w just one other q's is what rev range is the torker and what sort of mods would you need to do (as mine is stock but Im looking at doing it up) to suit the manifold?

The rpm range of a Torker II 302 manifold is 2500-6500rpm.
Edelbrock recommend :
carb : between 600 & 800cfm
heads : performer RPM
cam specs : duration @ 0.050; in 214, exh 224. valve lift; in 0.472, exh 0.496
Make sure the motor is built strong enough to rev to 6500/7000rpm and you'll probably need to look into a higher stall converter and lower diff gears.

I also have a 69 zc with 302w in it It was completely stock with a 350 holley and original 2v manifold. It felt like once it hit 4000rpm it hit a wall with power and went no-where. I then installed a Torker II and a 600vs carby. I instantly noticed the difference, it revved quite freely to about 5500rpm, making heaps more power than before. Since then i've fitted 4 into 1 extractors, ported and polished heads with 1.94 & 1.60 valves with studs, guides and roller rockers and she goes sweet. Kept up with my mates AUII XR6, which had a few mods done as well. But now my cars off the road getting the motor tweaked.
