Hi all.

I have been reading the past threads on the under drive pullies, in particular the Batterns one. I am just wondering those who have installed them on their windsors, what type of performance gain did you achieve (any reduction in 1/4 mile times), has anyone done a b4 and after dyno run??

Also has anyone experienced any problems with overheating?? or with any voltage problems?? is the power steering ok??

I didn't do a before and after dyno, but they have been shown to give about 8rwkw difference on a stock 5.0L. I found the increase quite noticably once it was installed, revs much quicker and more pull. I did have a little drop in charging voltage, especially when idling with head lights on, but haven't had any problems with it. Overall a great mod, how else can you get 8-10kw for only $200

I don't think the u/d pulleys are available for the au.

i think that you will find that they are, as the au motor still has the same bottom end as a eb, and all the angine parts swap across from one to the other

water pump is different to the earlier models on au, bigger hole needed in the middle of the water pump pulley......

As far as i know the au xr8 motors are already underdriven anyway....

All AU V8's are underdriven compare with E-series V8's.

Is that to say that its underdriven to the same extent as the kits available? Sorry to be a pain in the arse EDXR8.
