warm engine stumble

hi ford guys and gals, got a problem, i have a 66' fairlane, put a lae model 302 in it w/ gt-40p heads, car ran great for about 1500 miles, but now everytime the engine warms up (180-190), the engine begins to stumble or virbrate on light acceleration. i have no idea what the problem could be, i've changed my plugs, wires, coil, timed it, all just leaving me disappointed. any one have any ideas of what it could be?
thanks
sean

Re: warm engine stumble

Just an idea but I run a 302 in a jet boat and found after installing a holley carb and new HE dizzy that the motor would miss fire once warm and when revs were applied. Turned out to be float level on carb was set way to high

Re: warm engine stumble

On my other ford pickup case it was doing the same thing,
i started messing with it and even was backfireing..
The problem was in the carburetor once it warmed..
Took it to a place and they rebuilt it and the problem was gone..
It would be good to check it....

Re: warm engine stumble

Yip check the carb. I good check is to look down the carb throat with the engine running fuel should be atomised and not just pouring into the throat

Re: warm engine stumble

Maybe fuel injectors? New engine into old car fuel system. Just a suggestion, have the fuel injectors cleaned and install a new fuel filter. Hope all goes well.
