does anyone know how much a genuine ford au v8 waterpump is to buy?
do they also have aftermarket ones that fit an auxr8?

hey phil, i have used aftermarket pumps on these XR8's, and had bigtime problems. Genuine is the way to go, not sure about pricing though.

I have heard it isnt cheap. I had mine replaced on the EB about 3 years ago for the princely sum of $300 for the pump only, genuine ford. I assume it will be more than that now, plus labour. I'd be inclined to look at anyone else to supply other than ford itself. Perhaps a performance type pump maybe a better financial option.

cheaper to use genuine pump once, than to use aftermarket pump twice......

got one for mine it was over $500 retail
got it for $350 trade you can get after market for $150 or so

got one today, $145, ford part, but made in japan...looks like ford make only a certain amount, then they farm out for different company's to supply parts for them...
anyways, its all fixed and working fine, my genuine ford one lasted 34000 k's..
