what else is needed to make this a complete engine
ok seen this on the net and it seems cheap compared to what ive seen around just wondering what else is need to make this a complete running engine and what power could i ex[ect from it and would the internals handle 200hp nos cheers

Re: what else is needed to make this a complete engine
ok ive been told to expect 450 to 500hp from this motor with the afr heads, as im not real clued on specs and what not if it does produce 500hp with all the bits an peices what sort of hp from a nos injection could i apply to this motor without pushing it to hard. and what are all the other bits and peices i will need

Re: what else is needed to make this a complete engine
JE does not recomend the use of NOS with their SRP pistons. You would need the full JE piston for that, and a lower compression ratio as well, and a forged crank, and then you need to start thinking about your block strength.
how low would i need to go to run say 200hp, it will be a daily driver so it needs to be based on street driving more than track. And it said that these pistons may be used with nos or is it just bull

Re: what else is needed to make this a complete engine
Remember as well, the Standard 302W blocks are only good for 500hp, after that, they start splitting and destroying all of the engine internals. Do you need EBXR8240 to show you some more pics of turbo 302's with splits the length of the valley??
Besides, 500hp is enough, you can't possibly need more than that. Even with that much power, you are gonna need a new gearbox, clutch, tailshaft, diff and you will want big brakes as well.

Re: what else is needed to make this a complete engine
There is a difference between "you can use NOS with these pistons" and "NOS is not recomended to be used with these pistons". You can use any amount of NOS in any engine with any pistons, however it may not be recomended to use 500HP in a stock engine if you want the engine to last.
