Who Make T50 D gearboxes?

Can anyone tell me the name of the company that makes BTR T50 D gearboxes? I cant find BTR as a name of a company, are the Australian?

Im actually putting a Tremec 3550 in my car..

Beats a T-5 any day of the week, esp in a heavy car!

a T50 D is a Tremec? My sprint 5-speed is a T50-D... i always thought they were borg warners? (funnily enough it's got tremec syncros in it) lol

Tremec took over B/W, the box in a Sprint is a T5....Nothing special...

why do sprints have different gearing to a standard ed v8 5speed?

i remember a gearbox rebuilder lookinh inside my t5 and commenting on a stronger gear cluster over a normal t5?

similar to a t5g?
