Why is it windsor 302's cant be stroked to 351ci like the clevelands, is it because the engine is smaller?

I would suspect it has a lot to do with deck height.. but 347 is damned close!

what difference does it make to power?

stroking can be an expensive thing .. the only person I know thats stroked a 5.0 is aussie pete.. and he has had bulk trouble with it..but I wouldn't say thats representative of strokers in general.
As far as how much power..well, it depends on the state of tune before hand .. torque will certainly take a hike as well.

good knowledgable mates are a huge bonus for this sort of thing .. Most of the money that could be saved is by doing stuff yourself and saving on labour costs

A windsor can be stroked to a 351 its only a matter of changing crank and rods the blocks are the same deck hight 9.2 only some of the SVO blocks are 9.5 deck hight and they can be stroked to over 400 cubes. If you use standard crank and rods its pretty cheep .
