xd ute to 5.0 efi

ok here is the thing 1 x xd ute ex 351 c 1981, 1 x nc 1993 5ltr 4 speed auto, 1 x xf ghia (who care what’s in it). I have the ute and the nc. The plan is to fit the running gear out of the NC into the ute ( engine, gearbox, diff and brakes). The goal will be to have AC, power doors and windows, cruise control and smartlock, panel wise will use the xf look.
I am thinking that taking the complete wiring loom out of the NC from one end to the other would be the easiest way to go.
But the NC dash would not go into the xd without major firewall cut and shut. So I am planning to use a XF ghia for the dash and integrate the wiring looms into each other.
Would also have to do something with the fuel tank re: return lines and fuel pump.
The 2 cars are in the shed and 351 is out and for clevo lovers it is already in a new home.
Have one genuine form workshop manual for the nc and have the one for the xf coming from ebay.
Most people will say leave it alone and run the clevo but I have had enough of the clevo and a change is as good as a holiday.
Anybody tried this I have read the forums for days but most seem to think that a carby is just easier and a manual gearbox. And let’s not even think about heater pipes they will be fine.
And to use Russell’s latest add we are not into aroma therapy here.

For a bit of an update
Picked up XF Ghia stripped it over the weekend, NC has also been stripped.
Found that the NC fairlane heater was the same shape as the xf but the xd firewall was different so cut the firewall part for the heater out of the nc and did the same to xd and have welded it into the xd.

The reason for all this is that I have found a part out of xg that changes the instruments from the xf laid back at the top version to the NC laid out at the top, should also allow and xr8 version from ed if it all works to plan.

So I have stripped both the entire dashes out of the nc and xf with the plan of using the wiring loom, headlight switch, heater/ac controller, heater, steering column out of nc, laid it out and most things seem to be close to a fit wiring wise, cosmetically will have to do a custom job on dash facial cutting the xf Ghia switch holders off and blending the NC controls into that space.

Have also picked up xg Ute fuel tank off eBay, "You do got love eBay"

Also found xg quarter windows with the internal surrounds, rear windows external surround, xg rear bumper, heap of peddlers suspension parts and almost all of the nylon bushes the Ute has.

Not sure yet if the abs is going to be able to come across have not had big look at front sensors mounts if anyone has a pointer here could be handy.

Back would not be a problem as going use the nc diff with the mounts changed to suite Ute leaf springs.

Wiring is also fine as have taken the nc from head to tail and will be using it completely.
