confused XR8 Cam & Head question

I have an eb xr8 and was going to go with edelbrock performer rpm heads now am I right in thinking that these are the same as just the performer heads except they dont have the emmisons part. In there spec sheet they have the same specs in every aspect except the rpm don't have the emmision hole (hope I am making sense) so do I need the emmision legal ones???? Also can you remove the cam without removing the engine from the car??
Thanks

Re: XR8 Cam & Head question

I can't answer your heads question sorry, but you don't need to remove the engine from the car just to take the cam out.

Re: XR8 Cam & Head question

the rpm upper manifold is larger than the preformer and too big for mild applications but i don't know about the heads .the trick flow twisted wedge heads are very good and at a good price at high preformance world about $2300 complete

Re: XR8 Cam & Head question

The rpm has shorter runners than Performer[higher rpm]..If intend to fit cam and heads Yes Good combination....
Don't use Vict jnr heads though ...Performer or RPM max...
Take bumper, air con swing away and you can pull cam out...
After taking front engine assembly off...

Re: XR8 Cam & Head question

Ok so does the air con condenser(I think) Need to be disconected or can it move enough to get the cam out because if it had to be disconected than it would need to be regased am I right.

No...The std rockes fit...If pedestal mount?...I would recomend Yella Terra "adjustable" shaft rockers, same as used in latter XR'8s....

Iff they are stud mount you need hardened pushrods, stud type roller rockers and guide plates...Stud mount is more extreme duty....
