Hey,

I have a stock xr8 with extractors and 2.5' exhaust. now i want it to pu out nead the 180-200 rw k/w. now cos i have the gt-40's already on im thinking all i need whould be:

* Cam
* Bigger MAF
* Trickflow upper/lower manifold
* computer

now im not to sure with types of cam maf and computers, dows any1 know where i could do research to find this out???

The Sprints already run the EBGT Maf which in itself is a large unit.
The Sprint manifold is also a good breather but I guess you could go the TFS if you have the $$ to spare.
Bigger cam yep why not but your biggest power adder would be a set of Decent heads..
Or save your pennies & get a blower... Thats kick ass!!!
Since the Sprint was a Matched system you will probably lose abit of low end grunt, which i believe isnt really acceptable, why not go for a GT40 tubular upper?

Get the GT40-P's and the manifold ported (or Extrude Honed), lumpier cam, underdrive pulley. Does it have thermofans??

All that would get to around 200 I would think.

Depends on how much you want to spend. If you want to do it as cheap as possible, Crane 2031 cam, underdrive pullies, thermo fans and Tweecer to mod the EEC will probably get you to around 180rwkw. After that you really need to go for a stroker or supercharged setup.

2031 cam and AFR / TFS heads will yeald you over 200 rwkw.. A member in our nsw club has 2031, 1:72 rockers, rpm inlet 180 AFR's, Cobra/ Sprint maf, Good single 3" exh.STILL on 19 Lp injectors...Std eec with unichip....
If yours is a Sprint then you have 24 injectors, 65 throttle body/ 70 mm maf[though not as high flowing as it could be]. You need 2031 cam and GOOD heads & inlet...I guess you already have decent exhuast etc....

what sort of grunt would a set of heads and inlet be worth to a car with a set up like mine. Same cam as is suggested with similar setup.
