Okay to help in my search for 500rpm more can any AU V8 owners out there please tell me what their limiter cuts the engine out at.

A. 5500 (odd) rpm

or

B. 6000 (odd) rpm

Model, trans and date would be great too (eg. au 2 xr8 manual april 6100 rpm).

I figure it may just be a 185kw vs 200/220 kw engine difference?!?!

Also anyone know any adverse effects of putting the 200kw ecu on my ute???
I expect it's very plug and play but i may be wrong!

well you see in my signature what the rides are, so they are the same 200kw motor, the utes a manual, sedans an auto, and they both redline and 5700ish and cut out is 6200ish. They both rev very eaily and smoothly to 6000 might i add.

and i believe the 220kw motor relined at 6000, i could be wrong

The limiter in my car i around 6200rpm as well, although the engine dies in the arse at about 4700rpm.
