looking to buy a 93 mark III , to rob it's 4.6 engine, tranny,rear etc. going into a 1936 ford peekup. any one have this type of swap done before. is there a better mod year engine to use, what headers would still fit inside hood when closed. want to leave mostly stock with dress up on top. anyone that can give good advise on this swap. thanks

You can find block hugger headers or shorties would both fit. Also the tubular manifolds that are probably on it would work. You could send them off and have them ceramic coated in silver for looks. Make sure and mark everything you take out. Photos and lots of them help put things back where they go. Lot of work. I would opt out for a carbureted 302 myself. They look a lot nicer chromed out. The company I work for had a 3.0 dropped in a 1929 truck and the electronics are a nightmare. Some things fit and what didnt the speed shop just left off. It was a very bad decision. Not saying what your doing is though. As far as looks go, I think the carbed 302 would look nicer, IMO.
