Well the guys here some prices I paid and whom from about engine gaskets and such for the 4.6.
Unfortunately for checker their customer service is sometimes lacking but they beat everyone on price so here is what I got from them.

Head gaskets, nitrile style much better than stock, part number 9790pt1 and 97792
45.29 and 43.99 price per left and right
Intake manifold gasket 4.99 ea
exhaust manifold gasket 3.99 ea

Next was to NAPA for the head bolts, Now this is the biggest kicker, 22.99 for each side, that's right!! So why is checker for 46.99 each side. Well good question. But I was quoted 54-68 every where else. By the way, lesson learned pep boys doesn't carry anything for our cars and if they did it was twice as much as checker. So in retro spective here is the main difference on prices from today this will suprise you. Car Quest auto wanted 68.00 per head gasket and 52.00 per side for head bolts and if i bought the head kit which came with Intake gaskets, exhaust gaskets,& head gaskets price of 284.99 but you needed to spend the additional 104.00 for head bolts. That is 388.99. Mine came to a total of 169.51 after taxes and such. What a savings!! And yes this was for exactly the same stuff Car Quest had, the main difference in the price for the head bolts is that checker uses FELPRO and NAPA uses Clevite. The manager at checker said that NAPA is part of the DANA corp that owns Clevite. I am not sure, but he is in the parts bussiness not me.
