Okay Hi People I just signed up, this forum looks awesome, lots of mature minded people constructively communicating.

I have a quest to build a 69 mustang fastback, and part of this quest may involve obtaining a 4.6L DOHC motor. I'm just wondering if and/or how I can get a new one from Ford.

Any information would be helpful thanks :)

Call a dealer. They will be available as a Spare Part. I would imagine it would be rather expensive though.

There is a place in albury that has one brand new, it come with computer and loom and 5 speed tremec $12 500. It seems like a pretty good price

Box, prolly a tremec T-56 6 speed, and centerline dagger wheels, check em out, it'll be awesome. Oh, and a deep black, with a tint of red paint, and of course the standard hot rod flames on the front :)

Oh and the expense doesn't bother me, I'm planning on spending 40 or so grand on the engine alone. The car will cost me about 100k minimum, but my god I'll love it to death.

Ooh yeah!! here we go once more, reminds me of a one Blueprint T3 build up (still under construction) by a "legend" (had to say it) who goes by the nickname 'Laminge' on these forums. You've got to keep us updated on the Muzzy (Eleanor II?) build and lots of pics please, should be 1BADMUS when finished.

Might be worth chasing the latest cobra mill. They're blown and are good for around 400hp out of the box

Try to source an SVO catalogue through your ford dealer. They've got heaps of mustang parts in there and the catalogue costs about $10
