Blown FPV 290 - Anyone on Here Done It?

I'm interested in talking about owner experience of anyone on here who's done a blown 290. Particularly interested in the 5M setup. Driveability? Traffic behaviour? Tyre wear he he he ? Is it Stage 2 or is it the intercooled setup?

Yep a mate has a cappa on his GTP 5speed 303 rwkw with standed exhaust, and no intercooler, he is putting a cappa exhaust system on it this week so Ill ask him how it goes then, as for the driving, its as sweet as a nut just more grunt everywhere from idle to rev cutout, again sweeeet as, I think its running 6 pound boost,So what are you planing AP ?

I've never liked turbos. Sure they do a job but there's simply not the driver-car-engine responsiveness I crave.

Yes you are right Pete BUT have been in a V8 turbo?? Or any big capacity motor turbo'd?? Done right it's not like that...

Yes, I've been where you're saying but there's always a lag. There's no getting away from that. I don't even like the lag you get in an auto Commo V6 let alone a turbo. Crisp immediate throttle response is a true sign of a driver's engine!

Check out "Kenny Bell" in the states they make a blower kit that sits under their manifold..Only problem is I think they like to FIT there own kits....
John may help out there ????
