CAMSHAFT'S Boss 260 - 300Kw

greetings all
just read in the latest Performance Ford Magazine that Crow Cams have just released there Cams for the 5.4 260Kw engine, it says that you can expect power to increase to around 300Kw with Computer & Exhaust modifications

not a bad gain at all for only $1450.00 for the 4 cams thats a lot cheaper than what was thrown around here a little while ago for a set of cams

Crow Cams can be contacted on 03 9357 0469

regards
rod

Re: CAMSHAFT'S Boss 260 - 300Kw

Hang on a sec...
300kw? (I'm assuming thats fly wheel figure).

I currently have 215rwkw with intake and exhaust. Lets say I throw on a chip and use a conservative figure of 10rwkw gain. 225rwkw is about 300kw at the flywheel if you use the HP conversion.

So.... what good is the cam? hmmmmmmm

PS. I'm assuming the BOSS260 could also use the cams being developed for the GTs?

The problem with these cams is they affect the idle of the car.. Wiithout being able to change that you are fuked basicly.. not only that but the GT and the XR8 eun quite alot of differences internally i would say that making to much power could be detremantal to your wallet
