It's obviously a tight fit but it does fit as can be seen with the 300+. They couldn't do it on the production line as the engines come up from underneath but if going in through the bonnet it is do-able.
It's width may foul on such things as brake booster, ABS, brake/fuel/air/power-steer/heater lines, all ancillaries may need relocating (starter, alternator, power steer pump, aircond) requiring custom brackets to be made and suitable belts/hoses/pulleys to be sourced. The radiator may not be suitable (either in capacity or locations) and a custom unit may be needed. Not to mention engine mounts, exhausts etc.
You are already aware of the wiring, ECU & G/Box so if you can overcome the above potential issues and satisfy an RTA approved engineer then it should be a snack.
In summary;
Problems - Numerous.
Costs - Plenty.
