forged 5.4 internals

Im not an expert on anything but i found these while browsing the overpriced website of Shean Hyland Motorsports in the states, $2000 us ($2600au) for a 700hp capable rotating assembly for the 5.4L xr8 and gt engine's. Call it $400 or so for shipping, what would it cost to have these put in.

Re: forged 5.4 internals

Most 5.4's have a very nice forged crank. It does not need to be replaced . H beam rods approx. $550.00 9.6-1 pistons, pins, rings $860.00 Main studs $125.00 HP bearings $120.00 All USD So...For around $1665 you are in business. If you would like more compression that requires a custom piston.. Add about $150.00

Re: forged 5.4 internals

i think he is talking about capa raising the rates to astronomical prices. Seeing as they are the only SHM distro if I recall right.

Re: forged 5.4 internals

Well SHM do manage to charge a fair bit over the top compared to nearly every other shop in the states then capa throw their 30% markup on top of an already jacked up price. But hell if either company can find people to buy stuff good luck to them.
