My car has broken two valve springs & I need the factory specs to check the rest .
Ford only wants to replace the broken ones I want them to replace the set.
Does anyone have the Valve spring seat & open pressure for a boss 290?
Any help would be appreciated

If it's the eame spring the generic 4v heads use, 60 pounds seat and around 160 open. Broken springs in a dohc are very rare. I have rebuilt hundreds of them and never seen a broken spring.
If the geniric 5.4 springs are made in Germany. They would be the same as we use on the 290. I spoke to Ray fron Crow Cams the company that made the cams for the Boss 290 in Australia & he said the same thing , Stock springs made in Germany with about 60lb seat pressure .
