Trying to locate the engine No on the block for regisration purposes is there any standard positions for stamping????
This is for install on an 67 mustang.

depending on how old the block is the vin # might or might not be on the block. First look under the block where the oil addaptor bolts on and you'll see some numbers and letters, that's the date code, that will tell you how old the block is. If it's later 60's you might find the vin code on the flat tab on the back of the block just below the deck. You might also find it on the front left tab on the block, there are 4, one on each corner

67 Shelby Mustang?? Might have it where KD said depending on the build date. Not positive. Anything else Mustang wise for 67 might not have it stamped. I've seen hipo parts from 64-65 vin stamped. Mostly Cobra and Shelby exotic stuff. More run of the mill stuff (then LOL) was really not stamped till 68 or so.
