Would love to get hold of a cobra jet 428 long motor. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

It is going to be really hard to find a complete 428 cj or scj in this country, as not many of these big block cars were ever bought over here. And of the one's that were, the engine would stay with the car unless it was written off. You sometimes see cj/scj block's, head's, crank's, intake's etc for sale on e-bay (the US one), so you might be able to build one out of piece's collected. Does it have to be a cj/scj 428 or can you suffice for just a normal 428 and hop it up with the vast amount of go fast gear now availiable for the FE?
Does it even have to be a 428? because the price's of 428 cj/scj block's are getting close to the price of a new 427 block, which is much superior to OEM block's. If you have a original cobra jet car then I can see why you would want a cj/scj engine, but if you just want a powerful FE it would be easier (if you had the fund's) to buy a new 427 block, SCAT crank, ported edelbrock head's and a blue thunder intake and you have the basis of a brand new engine incorperating all of today's modern technology.
