I am swapping a 390 into my 1957 Ford Custom and want to retain the manual three-on-the tree. I have the following assorted parts: 1968 390 FE Block, 1963 Galaxie FE bellhousing (narrow pattern) and clutch fork, Ford 184 tooth standard trans flywheel and a T85 3 Speed overdrive transmission. All of this should bolt together OK, but I'm worried about the starter/flywheel combo. I think I need the early style starter with this bellhousing. Will the 184 tooth flywheel work? Any other problems I should worry about? Thanks!
