roll Re: Engine tag deciphering... 390 "S" code

Hi FFR428, The engine runs fine. Just a frozen distributor (body) in the block. Somehow I need to penetrate past the o-ring seal and break loose the corrosion at the bottom. Just looking for ideas. I have tried Mystery Oil and Liquid Wrench without success. I rapped it with a 2x4 and rubber mallet and it didn't budge. So I decided I had better be more cautious. I don't do that now. I was advised the distributor was made out of a brittle aluminum. I am hesitant to try paint thinner (one of the suggestions I received). Thanks for the reply. Dave
