Yes the early VC's have more room and they also don't have holes for the breather and PCV. No internal breather bafflels either. Early intakes have the oil fill tube on them and most used a rear road draft tube type breather off the rear of the intake. There is a steel mesh filled basket underneath that filters the expelled crankcase fumes. So the early valvecovers didn't need holes and baffles. Your VC's should be fine but every application is slightly different. So I'd just double check the baffles and side fit inside the covers for clearance. Just to be on the safe side. Worst case the baffles can be dimpled or removed if needed. Even better there are also thicker valve cover gaskets you can get or double up on the std store bought ones. DSC Motorsport Ford Racing Parts has a good selection of stuff. If yer lookin. He's a one man show, very good parts and prices.
