Good oil pressure is a combination of new parts and clean engine passage ways!
And proper clearence

edit** Speaking of cam bearings, I once knew a man that rebuilt engines and would take used cam bearings, drill new hole on opposite end and re-use them. Talk about cheap... This guy was a reputable engine builder too. His philosophy: replace only what needs replacing, machine only what needs machining. But the price is still the same.

I agree sounds pretty normal within the range of things. 80 cold at startup is good and 20 hot at idle ok. As mentioned just watch it does not drop.

If you have checked your oil pressure gauge for accuracy. You might consider checking main bearing clearances. I have seen a few cases of to much main beraing clearance.
.0015 will give you normal supply. At .003 clearance you will have (5) times normal oil supply. Check the Clevite web site for computation on bearing clearances with journal diameter.

Re: Info on rocker arm oil restrictiors for FE

Thanks for the info guy's, I'll keep an eye on it. I've got an extra oil pan that I think I'll put some kick outs on to increase the capacity a couple quarts. It has a new 1932 Walker radiator with fan and shroud but doesn't want to sit and idle long without heating up.
Tried to upload some pics but keep getting "upload of file failed"

Image upload is not working for some reason. You can always go to photobucket and upload your photos then post them here using the "Insert Image" option in the reply box. Use the Direct Image URL from your photobucket pic.
