hello, i am new here, i am trying to find info on swapping a FE into my 57 t-bird. i know its been done before, i just dont know how, i been thinking about customizing some FE mounts and welding them to my frame rails, but then i dont know what kind of headers or manifolds would work, does anyone have any info on this kind of swap?
If the car came with a Y-Block the FE should slip right in. Get a set of headers for a mustang 390,428....and it should work
Other than the engine is taller so you'll have to ditch or cut the hood, and the top half of the motor is wider so clearances around stuff like the battery, the master cylinder, booster, steering box and shaft will be tight.
