I am in the hunt for a 427 center or side oiler. I would like to find the block but would consider purchasing a complete motor that need to be rebuilt. I live in upstate South Carolina and would love to be able to pick up the motor. But if necessary would have it shipped in. All help in my search is appreciated.
Keith Craft has some vintage 427 blocks for a reasonable price. Check the classifieds on all the other FE engine and Cobra websites. Also place a WTB ad on those sites. Some will only reply to those ads I've seen. Be careful, be choosy and cash talks.
I have a standard bore top oiler, (1963, and all #s are correct). Super nice motor, and I have a brand new in the box cam and lifter (upgrade). Motor was built with no miles, when I had a garage fire. No damage, but we tore the motor down to ensure, and it has not been reassembled. Also have a Tri-Power set up if you would be interested in it.
Will sell it as it is.
