That was what came up on the Nizpro engine dyno last night at the so-called '1000hp Demo Night'

The torque output was also extreme, to say the least, and guess what... at 6500rpm, it still leaves another 1000rpm for Nizpro to play with on their Stage 5 XR6 Turbo engine.

Questions :
How does it idle? Even with big cams I guess you could still get it to idle with the twin cam setup
What size of turbo was used,i.e was the original turbo modded or a completely new turbo used?
Was 98 pump fuel used or a race brew?
What will this engine put out at the wheels?
1.7bar/ 25.5psi boost, pretty good.

How did you get past the stock redline or is there a bit of trickery on the engine stand to do that?

If you go to the nizpro web site you'll see that it's a much larger turbo, and they are keeping the specs a closely guarded secret.
It will be good to see it in a car, soon.

I think it uses a Motec ECU.

i thought ultimately they wanted it to do 8000rpm

Interesting. My mate at work was saying something about this. he said Nizpro are working on a 1000hp engine with forged internals. I said righto mate, becasue he didn't say where he heard it from. Trav if ya reading, G'day mate!
