I agree with your point DR Z but sometimes we dont do things for wealth maximisation.
He probably gets lot of personal satisfaction from exploring limits and I am sure at the end of the day it will give him a good financial return ; he has been around for sometime.

Well i have to say I'm impressed with these figures from what is a modified taxi engine. Top marks to Nizpro.
At this point though, I think enough has been proven in the engine dept untill they can prove that all of that power can be put to terra firma with any degree of control. Im all for shitloads of power, but it aint any good just upping the power if you cant get it to ground. I mean, come on really, 913 Kw?? Some locomotives have less power. I think its time some of these tuning companies turned these power figures into times on the track and focused more on using what power they have created rather than trying to make more. At 913 kw's the car will have to have a reinforced titanium drivetrain and sewage pipe rear tyre dimensions to put the power down without spinning the car at the touch of the go pedal.

There's a saying, "drive for show, put for dough".
These engines will soon be in cars, then we'll get a report regarding how the drivetrain and the rest of the car hangs together.
One step at a time.

Re: 1163hp, 1.7 bar boost, 6500rpm, 4 litres

Rb26 watch out. Nizpro are coming.....

Acheiving these power-figures is not about building good usable motor cars. This is all a game of "mines bigger". Look at horsepower heroes at summernats, huge numbers but pointless in anything but a drag style rail chasis. However, this is a game some enjoy, so as far as iam concerned let the good time roll.

lets hope not too many of these engines do make it into road going cars, we all remember what happened to Todd Wilkes when he drove his car in anger.

Zoom has a article in the new edition comparing BA turbo upgrades, and it looks as if aps shit all over nizpro, but this thing looks wild - well done

Also the nizpro product looks much neated and refined imho

I read somewhere that it's only in a "basic tune" and with more boost and tuning it should break 1600hp!!

Dave.

Can you use all that power or is it a mines bigger than yours/bragging rights kinda thing ?
Either way, those figures have the tyre manufacturers rubbing their hands together !

I think that's too much power for the street.
Much of this project has been to assess just what the engine is capable of.
One of these engines is in my car (not yet ready, but will be Stage 5), and better rubber will have to be used.
I'll give a report when I get the car back.
