There is nothing 80's about the current Turbo badge. You have to keep in mind that Turbo's were all the rage in the 80's which is why they were far more common than the 90's or today.
I think its clean, simple and makes the point. If it used the similar font to the XR6 badge it would look odd because they would blend together, if that makes sense. The way it is, in a different font, allows it to make a point of its own.
I think if we start using a wild font like some of DK's examples, its going to start looking like rice.
Hey dagabond, did you get that number plate on purpose? RYC = Rice? lol JK

We should all be saything thank god they didnt use the turbo badge off the VL Turbos!!!!!!! That was one crappy loooking badge. As for the future i think the Turbo should be just called an XR6T
Personally i dont mind the current turbo badge, i think its design suits today's model and isnt stuck in the 80's. I would however add the turbo badge to the side skirt also next to the other XR6 badge.
For me if i had a turbo i would want the badge....otherwise it's the same as a N/A Xr6....

Ok i've mentioned this before and i'll say it again in regards to the Turbo badges. I feel that replacing the XR6 Turbo with XR6 T would be much classier.
The Turbo writting on the boot and in the engine bay has an eighties ring to it just like when DOHC came out and every car out had that written on the car.

Personally I think it is plain and unimaginative.
I think it Ford should have used similar script as the XR6 sticker/badge as on the side skirts
I really want something different on mine (when I finally get it)
Can any of you dudes post any alternatives, like different lettering style or something
Personally, I'd prefer that the XR6, 6T and the 8 should be uniquely recognisable from any angle. The 8 does to a point with the horn buldge but a subtle change in styling or body kit would also be nice.
I've been on the lookout for 6T's to hear the exhaust note, my missus has heard one at WOT and thought it was very nice and meaty and hunting down 6T's has been difficult due to the fact that the only visible discernable difference is the turbo badge on the rear which is normally invisible at more than 10 meters.
I was near one at the lights but he took off sedately and I couldn't hear it over the growl of my own exhaust even with the head poking out the window ;/
gotta admit that the good thing with Commodores (if there is one thing good about them) is that the are very easy to tell apart, esp the when looking betweent the SV8, S and SS. you'd have to be pretty non interested in cars to confuse them imo and you can tell them apart from any angle
