Re: APS Phase 3 Kit on a XR6 Turbo

Can someone tell me what the edit is. And the webbsite.
Is the edit just as powerful as the APS phase III.
How much is the edit

Distract, you are obviously in a bit of a bind now about which direction to take, the main thing to remember is that whether you go for the old technology UNICHIP or the Edit. BOTH ARE ONLY AS GOOD AS THE TUNER WHO INSTALLS THEM AND TUNES THE CAR. The edit is much more versatile, but you need to find a good installer, I drove my BAGT from Perth to Melb to be Unichipped by APS and got a fine job. I have 2 F6s and No013 was the first edited F6 in Aus and much development has occoured since then with the edit. If you want to know about the Edit talk to Simon at XTREME he is a sponsor of the forums, what he doesn't know about editing FPVs doesn't need to be known. Personally for performance in a turbo I would go for the edit

Mate,

I have to agree with the good doc. I was that close to going the APS route..... but am as happy as a pig in poo that I talked to Simon..... I am not trying to bag APS..... just for me.... Xtreme has provided everything I wanted, and at a reasonable price too.

cheers

Peter

Re: APS Phase 3 Kit on a XR6 Turbo

You could go to a tuner who tunes Ford edit and installs APS products.
Autotech Engineering in sydney do this.
Check out their website at www.autotechengineering.com.au

Re: APS Phase 3 Kit on a XR6 Turbo

There is a huge amount of info on all the kits offered by aps on their website, including prices and FAQ. trans, clutches and all thats involved with the kits.
All the questions asked here can be answered there.
They also say that the stock 5speed will not last very long with the stage 2 kit unless you upgrade to a 6speed from malwood autos for $8000
you can have your own auto rebuilt for approx $2400 to withstand 400rwkw (i think) a full tear-down and inspection of you engine is included in the price for stage 3 kits and above
