As the release of the APS PHASE IV High Output System draws closer, we took the opportunity to exhibit the APS PHASE IV XR6T in the Melbourne show and ran on the competition dyno. Whilst the final PHASE IV specification and power level is not yet ready for public announcement, the power demonstrated at the show is a good indication of the huge potential available to APS PHASE IV customers.

Using the latest (and most conservative) version of Dyno Dynamics Shootout software, the APS PHASE IV blitzed all other high powered XR6Ts with an awesome 557.7 hp at the wheels. Best of all (and testimony to the high efficiency of the PHASE IV system), the peak turbocharger boost pressure used to achieve that great power result was a modest 17 psi. In the not too distant future, we'll be unleashing the full potential of the system after further tuning development. :spoton:

That result is fantastic. 557 hp at the wheels!!, holy cow. Is this still with stock internals Peter or have the rods etc been changed to an F6 type spec? I would imagine a stronger driveline would be a must.

Have you any indication of the approx. cost?

So this is about 415rwkw's....roughly the same as the APS manual sedan that got 307km/hr. Look foreward to seeing some guys with it installed out at calder

Motor Hot Tuner mag mentioned a stage 5 in the works. What's the timeframe on that ?

I also read that you haven't managed to kill a falcon 6 turbo engine yet. Built Ford tuff lol.

Hi Rodderz, the 307 kph record was set by a stock PHASE III system (around the 340 rwkw from memory) but with lowered springs and *BIG* brakes.

As for driving the PHASE IV in the wet, it's actually quite good as long as you take it gently. At light throttle positions, the PHASE IV drives like a crisp and responsive XR6T.

No idea on the timeframe but there is some very exciting and innovative engineering going on at APS at the moment. Though there are other projects such as the Intercooled Twin Turbo Boss that currently have R&D priority.

And yes, the XR6T engine is a mighty unit with the correct performance enhancements and optimum engine tuning development.
