BA Turbo - RTQ-191

Is this car still being used as a Field Eval Unit? Just spotted it up here in Berowra (NSW) having a gawk at the fires. Or maybe a journo lives here?...

Noticed on a lot of the BA press vehicles in the motoring mags, that there was a small metal tab attached to the front rego plate. I also noticed this on a Fairmont Ghia(RTQ ???) up in Shepparton a couple of weeks before the BA launch.
Just wondered what was the significance of this little metal tab.
I'm sure one of the more knowledgable types out there is in a position to enlighten me.

This metal tab you saw means it's a Ford owned vehicle. You'll see vehicles around with both rectangular metal tabs and small disks attached to the corner of the front rego plate. test/press/pool/Ford management vehicles will have rectangular tabs. The disks are for general Ford employees.

Hey FFOracing, its funny you should mention that car. I saw it on friday night having a look around the fires at Berowra as well. I presume who ever it was driving it was a Berowra local, due to on Friday afternoon / night Berowra was pretty much locked out. You could get out but you couldn't get in due to freeway closures etc.
