BA XR Fabric - Where do you get it ?

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for some fabric to re-trim my headrests when my screens are fitted.

The trim is called "Plexis Blueprint and Carbon in Warm Charcoal with twin needle stitch". It's really only the grey part I need.

Does anyone know where I could get some from, Ford Customer Service couldn't help.

BTW, I'm located in Sydney.

Cheers,
Muzzzza...

Try,

Ammon Leather Pty Ltd

Motor Body Trimmers

ADDRESS
Unit 3/ 25 George St
North Strathfield, NSW, 2137
Australia
Ph: (02) 9743 2999

They do a lot of work for Alto Ford so they would probably have a lot of offcuts.

This is where I got my custom interior done.

Thanks Jamie.

Thanks for the contact details.
BTW, saw you interior at Feb. meeting, it looks great.

Were your seats fabric berfore they did the custom Interior ?
If so want happened to the material, did you keep it or did they. Just some of these pieces of this would be enough to get me out of strife.

Thanks,
Murray...

Sorry to mine, but do you guys know if you can get the fabric trim without that plexis (tyre tread) pattern? As in just plain grey or similar?

XR8_Ute,

Do you mean you want to buy a BA with plain grey seats only?
Not sure if Ford would do that, you can even buy pieces of fabric from Ford spares, they want you to sell each piece (i.e base, back or headrest).

If your looking for fabric only, I've done a fair bit of investigating so far, no luck yet. Although I've found a couple which are very similar, but I'm still not 100%.

If I have any success, I'll pass on some details.

Cheers!

Thanks Muzz, I'm very happy with the seats.

Yes the seats were originally fabric when the car was delivered from the factory.

They kept the fabric, that's why I suggested getting in contact with them. This mob do a lot of work for Ford so they must have some laying around.

If I kept it you would have been welcome to it.

Jamie,

Got in touch with that guy yesterday, unfortunately he doesn't keep the old fabric. He said to call him in a couple of days in case something comes up. (fingers crossed)
