Hi Guys,

Has anyone else suffered from a whine in the radio when accelerating. I have noticed if i have my radio i can hear a slight whine when i accelerate. As the car is new i have noted this to advise Ford on the first server but thought id see if anyone else have experienced this too

does it only happen when you have the stereo on, because it could just be the turbo spooling up if its when you accelerate... otherwise i havent heard of anything like that.

It is a common feature of the BA's. I have heard you can ask an auto elec to fit a device to your alternator to help stop this. I have changed all my audio gear in my BA. Let me tell you, that whine is very frustrating. I'm pretty sure Ford will tell you that "this is normal" so if it is bugging the crap out of you, do the ring around for some auto elecs to fix it for you. I have been told if they quote you $100, hang up on them. But if they quote you $30 -$50 then give them a go. I haven't gone thru the ring around process yet so if you do find someone who fixes it for you, drop me a line.

I guess it does it all the time. Sometimes worse than normal. I havnt compared the differance if lights on or not. What is this so called thing an electrician can fit? What does it do?
