ba xr6turbo ute with attitude

mmm got a drive in an xr6t today. one thing i noticed the most was how it pulled away from the traffic, started at around 1500 rpm... then shot off like a bullet, in a hail of sideways actions :D couldnt beleive how quick it pulled off. i dunno about what figures are supposed to be, but it took off a lot faster than most of the 8's i've driven, might not have the top end though. love the looks of it, just comparing it to the au xr8 ute it was next to at the show i was at, it looks very skinny? maybe its just the headlights and new sharp creases at the top of the bonnet, but it looked skinny, but low and skinny. anyways, i'd take one over any 8 any day. want to try some psi increases :D boys, dont worry about the 290 gt, when u can buy a turbo and mod it for 20k less.

Hey distortion, welcome to the board mate. Thanks for this thread, I really wanted to know how that T goes off light, specially in auto non rev start.

I came today from SMS, although I got hooked to the GT, I think the 43K Turbo is an excellent deal:)

If you got some time, PM me more about how was that Turbo against others like gen III or if you did, the XR8 Boss.
Cheers mate.

thats great distortion, i agree, the turbo is a fantastic car to drive. Havent been in an auto but the manual is very quick and u find yourself ripping thru the cogs as the revs build so rapidly. When your on the turbo boost the car just puts you back in your seat, and the power delivery is so instant.
Not only is fast, it has the handling and stoppers to make it even better, and the neon blue dash is so horny.
Friggin great car!

I was at a Ford dealers on the weekend. I enquired about a test of a XR6T.

The salesman says they get test cars in, but once people drive them, they buy the actual test car. So, they are having trouble keeping cars on the floor.

Yeah for Ford!!
