I heard Barry was working on an underdrive pulley kit for the BA 6 cylinders. Maybe for you boosted people, you look at bolt on as a waste of time, as all you really need to do is get more boost. I really reckon the underdrives would provide something that no amount of boost could provide, and that's more down low. I have driven many XR6 Turbos, manuals and autos, and I must say I love the ruuuuuuuush, but don't like the lag at low revs.

DBA slotted rotors/Bendix ultimate pads (front), Pioneer MP3 head unit and BA XR carpet mats.
if & when the underdrives become availiable for the 6 cylinder engine it will certainly help them & if the are only half as good as the Boss pulleys you will be in for a big supprise

IMO the lag is minimal particularly when compared to a lot of high powered 2.0L turbo cars. That swept volume of 4.0L and the relatively low 6psi boost has a lot to do with it.
I reckon the Boss has more "lag" at low revs than the XR6T.
All that aside, I'd definately be interested in such a product.

I agree with you Mick for a Turbocharged car the XR6 Turbo is one of the best cars for lag (best as in least lag - you know what I mean). But I can't agree with you that the BOSS has more lag than a turbo. People say that they think the BA V8's lack down low, but I reckon they are pretty good myself. Althought right from punching the throttle, my AU XR8 is definately more responsive. I'm sure that has greatly to do with the BA's drive-by-wire system.
Anyway, back on topic, I think the underdrives would be great for your car, but especially for the N/A XR6 people who are looking for that extra urge. Hopefully Barry will see this thread and reply.

Hi guys,
Good news is that we are working on the underdrives for the 6cyl.
Probably be a while before we see them though.
Barry.
