I don't know, and I'm in a position where I should!

My initial thought is that they are the same as Series III premiums.

I'll find out and post when I know thw facts.

They are very similar in design to the T Series grooved rotors - look like they may be an AP but I'd be guessing there.

Question

Not to put a dampener on any of this great work Ford have done, but are we likely to see any of the short life brake problems that existed with AU? If so, which brakes does this apply to?

This might answer some questions about the brakes of the new falcon.

Quote:
FORD has uprated Falcon brakes significantly, moving from 287x28mm rotors up front to 298x28mm and 303mmx16mm at the rear (287x16mm previously).

Front discs are ventilated and rear discs solid. They are mated to 40 per cent stiffer twin pot-callipers, bigger brakes pads with longer life, stiffer brake hoses and electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), which replaces a fixed front-to- rear proportioning valve in the master cylin-der.

Ford is claiming less fade, improved pedal feel and shorter stopping distances. There is also an optional premium braking package available for the XR sports models with 325x32mm ventilated and grooved front rotors and 303mmx16mm grooved rear discs.
