Have just fitted a 2nd cai from a Typhoon was wondering if any other T owners have done this and have fitted a SS inductions big mouth cai as well to replace the standard snorkel. Would like some feedback as to how it went with the SS cai compared to the standard setup with the phoon cai.Is it worth getting the SS cai or save the coin for Edit. Would anyone have a dyno graph of this to give me a good indication of how it really performs.My car is stock with dual cai and K&n filter with auto.

SSinduction is a waste of your cash , have a look at where it fits and the space you have
from the radiator to the underside of the bonnet.
On a LS1 you lose 15kw due to restriction of the air flow.

Going about this from the opposite end, is it worth putting in the typhoon 2nd CAI with an SS intake already installed?

i dont like the ss induction set up... i think its just one big inlet?.

Yeah one big inlet and an alloy ramp thing to direct air from the grill to the snorkel...No idea if it makes a difference or not as it was on the car when I bought it.

I would definately fit a 2nd CAI if it was going to make much difference, question is, do I;

A> Leave things as SS induction only.
B> Fit 2nd CAI with SS or
C> Get rid of SS induction and fit 2nd CAI with original snorkel??

If you have the SS induction the Typhoon would get more air in.
I have the std intake + I made a plate to direct air flow to it,
then installed a Typhoon 2cai.

The plate sits just under the grill on the side where the std cia is and goes half way down the grill like what you would get in a SS induction kit www.ssinductions.com.au/baxr6turbo.htm
Made it from a piece of sheet aluminium about 1 hr to make and fit
