Can we start the bonnet bulge thread again, without the rubbish?

Could we start talking about the bonnet bulge again without the racist stuff? I like this site because there is heaps of stuff here that I am busting to talk about and its fantastic. Just wanna talk about the Ford stuff, not the rest. Reckon the rest of us should not be penalised for some thoughtlessness of small minority. I am new to the site and I am sorry if this offends.

Sorry, I'm new to the site and found the original conversation fascinating! And I just wanted to add that I heard that Ford were no longer allowing the bulge to be sold in anything other than 8 and GT..... that is from a dealer.

You play a dangerous game XRchic. Once a thread is closed, you are not supposed to re-open it.

As for the bulge, it belongs on XR 8s and GTs. If others want to put it on their cars, that's their choice, but it wouldn't be mine. JRs car is an example - it looks great, but it's not something I'd do to mine (though I do have a T3 wing on an XR6, so Go figure!).

Well, if they boot me off, I guess I deserve it, but I just thought it was not fair because some went silly. I didn't realise it was serious to ask...

I would not do it in a fit either, but just to alter the thread to a new topic, I saw an XR6 (non turb) the other day, in Phanton, with silver GT stripes!!!! They actually had the GT logo on them, have also seen similar but with FPV stripes. How try hard is that? I asked the dealer - they said people can get them done in non Ford places.....

Stripes belong on GT alone, I say - in fact, a GT doesn't look right without stripes.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind working for Ford either - better than my current job (tax lawyer). He he. That bulge in the picture above.... is it painted or does it just look that way in the pic? Very interesting! Bit like the bulge on the DJR beast - in the mags in Blood Orange I think, with the black plastic cover on the bulge...
