Re: Dyno Runs

That's some serious numbers at the rear wheels... are you running standard 18 or 19 inch tyres? Have you found any problems getting this down on the road? How about drive line, gear box, diff or CV? My F6 auto has had some mods - injectors, plugs & customised cappa tune. The street tune runs at 275rwkw (14 psi) - hits the rev limiter on the 3-4 gear change at about 150km/h.... i could lean on the tune and increase the range on the rev limiter, but this will also impact the every-day driveability of the car. I'm changing the exhaust next month (manifold back) - and that apparently adds a further 30 rwkw.... but even with what i've already got, the car feels to be near its limit in transferring the grunt onto the road...?

I still have the standard Tyhoon wheels as I love the look of them. The standard SP9000 rubber, however, is totally crap and traction was an issue for a while.

I've since changed to SportsMaxx tyres and put 255's in the rear (245's standard). This has assisted with power delivery to the ground. The car will still break traction, but a lot less now.

Traction is currently being assisted by a slipping clutch, which is being assisted with a softer than usual turque punch from down low. (The power still comes in hard, but not as hard as the tunes usually done by my tuner.) This is an interim measure whilst a replacement unit is being manufactured. Once the new clutch is in, we'll tune some more aggression down low, and finalise the top end.

Based on your mods above, the next steps for you are a bigger IC and exhaust. In that order.

Mine is still the standard F6 bottom end.

Tornado,

Can you please elaborate a little on your results.

How are you getting your boost up without altering the CPU?
Do you have dyno graphs which show power/boost/AFR's?
Running 20PSI through the standard IC, how are you fingding consistency in power levels?

Re: Dyno Runs

mate i do have graphs but have got not idea on how to post pics, but if your in and around brisbane drop in to p.t.e. and ask sean for a look if not i can meet up with you some time and show you, as for how i got the power mate pretty much just as my sig says, un-opend motor apart from re gapping the standard plugs, battery swap custom cooler pipes off the standard cooler, 3.5 dump with a 2,5 screemer pipe into 3' m.bent exhaust, go fast bits b.o.v. and a k&n pod filter with custom cold air induction and air box, thats the performance bolt ons i have had new billet axels put in a new drive shaft and bigger uni's put in as i broke the standard ones but as for electronics just a 42lb injector map tune from capa a.k.a. a f6 typhoon tune from capa to allow me to drive the car with the bigger injectors nothing custom, a heap of dyno runs to see how we are looking with each mod and a lot of flogging the shit out of it on weekends ( i only get to drive it on weekends).
and all this happening in 11months from owning the car from new.

p.s. as well as the standard clutch!!

Re: Dyno Runs

OK. Makes more sense now. It may not be fully customised, but you have altered the CPU by having an edit to suit larger injectors and the tolerances adjusted so that the car will not go into limp mode when hitting up to 20PSI.

Does the boost trail off from 20PSI at top end?
