Dynoed my XR6T with interesting results

1st run was 192kw (just warming up)
2nd run was 198kw (now we are getting there)
3rd run was 201kw (without the air box. We all thought a 3kw increase was expected)
4th Ė 6th run was 202kw with the air box back in place!!!! (we ran it a few times just to be sure)

eaky

power loss through transmission etc is about 20-30 percent.

Guessing the car would be around 250-260 KW at least. right?

Ouch.... Slight underquote, or extremely good transmission for the transfer of power....

be interesting to see what exhaust mods could do to that end power figure!

Is it auto or manual? Either way that power figure is very impressive - it equates to about 270kw at the flywheel allowing 25% losses through the power train.

You've got a good one!

The XR8s are going to have to be VERY good to better that figure.

assuming that this understatement is in the same ratio for all models, here is some interesting info...
Barra LPG = 179 kw
Barra 182 = 209 kw
Barra 220 = 252 kw
Gull 240 = 275 kw
Boss 260 = 298 kw
Boss 290 = 332 kw

I know it won't be right, but it'd be cool....

the problem is that there is no magic figure for deducting a percentage from FwKw to get RwKw ... it would be good as it would certainly would take some of the BS out of it all.

Damned fine effort there esky!
