I don't use the trip computer for my fuel calc's. The trip computer was close to the figures I calculated .3 lt/100k high. But only if you set it on every tank fill. I was trying to get an average for the entire trip.

I still don't like the way Ford calc the average fuel usage. It seems to be at too short an interval for it's readings. The Statesman I previously had gave updates every 2 mins, not very 2 secs so it wasn't affected by short bursts as much.

As for Mobil 8000 versus Shell Optimax, the figures show no difference. I still want to try the BP Ulimate though.

So far NO sign of brake shudder at 8000 klms.

That's true but I find that the car runs better on Mobil than Optimax (though, that could be all in my mind LOL). I've also been using BP Ultimate and the car loves that fuel as well.
