It's the same Tremec TR3650 5 speed manual gearbox as from the BA XR8/GT/GT-P & T3.....
Thankfully it's not the T5 from the regular XR6 Turbo
550nm might well shred that box quick smart & in a hurry :)

The production model is meant to get the standard 4 speed auto......but I wouldn't be surprised to see it come out with a 6 speed manual or a 5 speed auto, aren't they meant to be across the range upgrades with BA2?

Planned release for the series 2 BA is Oct 04. No major changes, except for bug ironing and minor cosmetics. The trannys for the typhoon both man and auto are what is presently in the GT, he he he he he. At least they won't commit hari kari with a bit of REAL POWER running through them

Ive never heard of a 5 speed auto .But ive heard of ford putting a 6 speed auto (from jaguar) in.But im not sure if they will put it in the Turbo.I reckon it will go in the GT and fairlane or LTD

Up until a week ago even the Ford dealers wern't and still arn't sure what the final result would be. Now since the release at the Melbourne motor show some of the information is there for all to see, although the Melbourne Motor show release is actually a pre release, and FPV still havn't announced an exact date. it wouldn't suprise me if there is still a few more changes.
