I would take a GTP anyday over the F6, i love V8's, especially the sound they make, and am not overly fussed about the better performance of the turbo.
If i want that kind of performance "simple" i would put a blower on my V8, and i am just waiting to see when someone puts a positive displacement blower on the Boss how hard they actually go.

Even though I think that F6 is set to be something Ford will strive in sales with, and that the power rating, bang for buck, and all the rest is something to be pretty proud of, I chose the GT-P

I like my eights, I like the sound of them, I love the GT-P wheels, and most of all, I just think the GT-P consists of much more of a package, albeit joining a rather steep price.

Though if my budget stretched only as far as an F6, I'd have no problems in taking ownership, nor would I regret it.

i selected F6, then GT-P, then back to F6.. finally settling on the GT-P!
My reasoning is that once the f6 is out the gt-p will no doubt have a power boost..... thats why i'll take the gt-p series 2!

If i was serious about getting a turbo falcon. I'ld get the xr6turbo out of warranty (wait 2-3 years) and get a stupidly quick kit (dreaming?)

If you'd be happy with the stock performance the GT-P would be just as good, but if you'll be modifying and chasing super fast times you won't beat the value of the F6 (or even an XR6t). To be fair tho there might be some improvements to the GT-P when we know more about BA II. Hopefully at least 320kW and some decent gearing!

I would dare to go against the grain and say F6 for the simple reason that I havn't owned a V8. If I had I dare say that I would say a GT-P.

I would think that it would be rare for someone who owned an XR-8, GT/GT-P series 1 to move into an F6 (series 2 ba?). Highly likely for those cashed up XR6t owners to trade up. The main reason I see the F6 being a good move by the powers that be at ford.

Lets face it.. The F6 is a serious piece of hardware Ive always been a V8 guy but unless they up the ante when the series 2 BAGT-P's are released, I can see the F6's will not only outrun & outpower the GT's but I recon they will eventually outsell them as well...

I would prefer the gt-p over the f6.....but at the end of the day, whats the use of owning a legend like the gt or the gt-p.which should be the ultimate in performace because of the sheer image it brings and heritage, when someone in a six with a hairdryer will "blow" you away....what a dilemma that ford has gone and done.... :wtf:

Definitely the F6 over the GTP,

Why own a V8 when a turbo'd 6 is just as quick.

I personally can't see the sense in paying big dollars for an engine sound, but each to their own I guess.

My only criticism with the F6 is that it looks too much like a clone of the GT. It should have had a different bodykit.

Although GTP is an awesome car id go F6 with Brembos.

Will be quicker than the current GTP and with the same brakes but 100+ kg less will brake better {albeit slightly}. Less kg over the front...It will probly handle better too. 550nm at just over 2000 rpm is awesome. All at less $$.

Only hope Ford can give the GTP the updates it needs for series 2 to justify itself as the FPV top line car. Then i might well have chosen different. Series 2 vs series 2 is apples vs apples though.

I vote for the F6.

I agree with Jamie , all that extra money for an engine note......

I wouldnt just pay big dollars for an engine sound but i would pay big dollars for a car that has 2 extra cylinders and the potential to make more power easier.
