F6 hardtop to a convertable roof?

Gday all,

Had my F6 now for a couple of months and am loving every minute of it.

With the great weather and summer soon approaching I was starting to think about changing my F6 over to a convertable roof.

Has anyone had any experiences with having a hardtop replaced with a convertable roof? Any idea on cost, pros and cons etc? Recommended companies?

Cheers

DO IT!!!! i got a ute! if i didn't have issues with the possibility of a payload hittin me in the back of the head! i'd have had it done! mite still c about at least a sunroof though!!
it'll look hot convo!! though as with most aftermarket convos, it's prolly leak, still be worth it though!
dot know anyone who does it now, but if u find someone, pay the extra and get it done well!!

you guys seriously cant be serious can you?

yes it would look good, but have fun driving something that will rattle like all hell, have no chasis stiffness and will eventually bend in the middle...

if you can do it then go for it and it would be cool
but its not worth it and im pretty sure it wont happen...

I am semi-serious... if the drawbacks aren't too bad and conversion cost isn't too ridiculously priced... then I would most likely get it done. However, yes it is a bit of a dream... I just thought might as well look into if the dream is a possibility.

Thanks for your input... you've atleast offered a few things to consider... Rattles, chasis stiffness etc.

I am still looking around to find someone to do the conversion and get a price.

Cheers all

You'll need to convert the car to a two door model and work on the stiffness of the car. However, nothing is impossible.
